Delete your HomeDB account
HomeDB for Android
Delete in the app
- Open HomeDB and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Deletion happens right away and can't be undone.
Delete by email
If you can't use the app, email homedb@truthy.tech from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We'll confirm by replying to that address and delete the account within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account, profile, sign-in, reminder settings and push tokens.
- Every home you own alone, with everything in it: projects, tasks, materials, reminders, history, facts and photos.
- Your membership in homes shared with other people, and invitations you sent.
What is kept
- If you own a home that is shared with other people, it passes to the member who joined it first, so they keep their records.
- Entries you added to any home shared with other people stay in that home, shown as added by "Former member".
- Nightly database backups are kept for 30 days, so your data drops out of them after about 30 days. The most recent backup is always kept, so if backups stop for a while, that backup stays until they resume.
- Crash reports, which don't contain your home records, are kept by our crash reporting provider for 90 days before it begins deleting them.
- Deleting your account removes your push tokens from our server. The install identifier our push notification provider holds for your device isn't deleted by HomeDB; it stays with that provider until it is deleted there.
